Writing exercise:

Describe three different kinds of rain, using as many descriptive words as you can. Feel free to use the dictionary, the thesaurus and any other manual that you like. (The Joy of Sex is out though guys.)

Let us feel the rain, get us wet three different ways. Anyway, I'd really like to see more than two people try this one. It's short and so shouldn't take too long if you split it up into parts. I'm hoping we'll have a mass turn-out of attempts to put up on the web page gang, so do me proud!

I just kinda did this.  Not real sure it fits TW's parameters, but you get that sometimes.

Rain

The driving rain bears down on me, pelting my skin, soaking into my soul.  Cold, it's stinging touch torments me, and yet, I cannot move.  The relentless falling  force drowns me as I stand in its midst.

Washing and warm, the rain envelops me as I stand in it's presence.  The gentle caresses of its liquid self comforting me as I seek to make sense of this life.  I am lost in its eternal giving, and somehow, I am restored.

Softly, the sounds of the rain patter onto me as I walk alone.  The trickling tendrils stream down my face, pushing away the hot tears that had gone before them.  The rhythmic falling, synchronized with my own heartbeat pounding in my ears, silences the screams within my mind.
